i knew this would happen if i went back to twitter but lord in heaven the amount of proship discourse i see on there is insane. thog dont caare thog just wants to play touys and make tortured ocs

all this stuff about someone being the devil if they engage in Any kind of kink outside of like. praise kink or whatever. because apparently thats all people can handle before they start to get scared. anyway it just pisses me off as someone who likes to explore darker topics in art, and yes that includes delving into themes such as incest, abuse, sexual trauma, etc. And I don't think i should have to share my "credentials" to be able to engage with that stuff either. You don't need to put your entire trauma history on the internet for people to use against you just to write a damn fanfic. This is just something that's really important to me and I hate how the internet has demonized it so much.

day 2 of using twitter, i logged on to my old main and saw a current day wilbur soot fan on the tl. immediately logged out and went back to my current account. the world's a scary place out there.

Returned to twitter for the first time in well over a year. I will block anything that isn't friendship posting and artwork and if someone puts discourse on my tl theyre getting unfollowed. such is the way of the cowboy in this here rodeo.

and before you ask, no the account will not be going public lol i see my twt as my place to rt porn in peace and talk to my friends.

dani and i are doing concept art for a visual novel bc learning to code in renpy as my first coding project sounds easier than learning gdscript first. aka im lazy

Did more tilesheet messing around, added purple grass variants as well as three tree variants. Touched up some of the already-made tiles as well.

Bit the bullet and got back to coding, it's been very difficult but I push through. I have a semi-working textbox. It's ugly and there's something wrong with the code but I got a lot of lines written and I'm proud of that.

Made more progress on the tilesheet, added more color variation in the leaves, and we have cliffs and paw prints now!

Took a course on stream, actually helped me a lot to learn GDScript, but had to stop bc my voice was destroying itself having to talk for that long.

Switched to coding/learning html and thus this website was created.

Yesterday i hopped on call with dani and we fleshed out roan more and designed two more characters to go with him. i also composed a song for him but idk how i feel about it yet. hes in a band of three, he's keys, his bandmate jen (they/them) is drums, and the third member is oscar, the bassist.

the best way i can create characters is by basing them on animals, so roan is a piranha, jen is a gecko, and oz is an osprey (all named accordingly, jen's full name is genevieve so its like g for gecko. roan is like. piroanha.)

jen is baggy clothing, covered face, bone motif, and short spikey yellow and black hair to mimic a leopard gecko's spots.

oscar is the sluttiest member, his defining traits are long, red hair, revealing clothing, and wearing big, dramatic coats.

finally, roan's whole deal is studs, spikes, ripped clothes, and spikey white (originally black, but turned white due to stress) hair.

they're all very grunge in fashion but i'd call their music more goth. airy and psychedelic, almost ghostly.
